Backward Crossunders

This is an advanced intermediate skill! Begin by doing a hard-edged cut turns on one side. After each cut, bring the now trailing skate back to parallel - in a sculling motion. From above the backwards crossunder footwork looks like linked offset backwards swizzles strokes, (your wheels remain on the ground throughout) Make sure you scissor longways so you do not tangle your legs on the crossunder stroke. Wear padding as you will fall learning this one! Once you have got the basic footwork sorted, concentrate on both feet smoothly moving in & out from a fixed scissor position.
