Turns

Crossover
turns are great for making a turn with minimal wheel-edge
friction which makes for a really fast turn! You use minimal
friction by using the 'step-over' to make the curve of your
'turning circle' into a straight line. By stepping over, your
skates take the shortest path across the turn and runs straight
on the wheels centre edge, thus zero wheel friction, to the next
corner of the curve. A 90 degree turn makes one corner, a 180
degree turn makes two or more corners. A 360 degree turn would
look like a hexagon from above. Power for this move comes from
the 'under-stroke' - the inside foot pushes to the outside of
the turn, moving under the body So remember, practice make it
all come together..
