Getting Started

Practice Your Balance
On grass or carpet, practice balancing on one skate & then the other.
The knee of your weight bearing leg should be slightly bent & your shin
should be pressed against your skate tongue. Try to hold each foot for at
least four seconds, keeping your hands out in front of you for balance.

Commit To Memory
On grass or carpet, get into the ready position & close your eyes.
This helps you find & memorize your balance point so that you can return to it
when you are rolling on pavement.
